APEC/SCSC(Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation/Sub Committee of Standards and Conformance)
Standards and conformance is an important area of APEC Trade and Investment Liberalization and Facilitation (TILF) which is under the framework of the Bogor Goal and Osaka Action Agenda. The Sub-Committee on Standards and Conformance (SCSC), was established to promote the activities in standards and conformance area and working in several areas such as alignment activities, mutual recognition agreement (MRA), the activities on Good Regulatory Practice (GRP). Japan is contributing to these activities as a leading economy in the alignment activities. SCSC holds its meetings three times a year.
