Private sector cooperation

The Association of Overseas Technical Scholarship (AOTS) and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) have conducted projects for local private companies, such as the acceptance of trainees and the dispatch of experts. In the field of standards and conformity assessments, the following systems have been implemented:

Training by the Association of Overseas Technical Scholarship (AOTS)

For the purpose of promoting liberalization and facilitation of trade and investment within the APEC nations, the AOTS invites engineers and managers of private companies in the region as trainees and provides them with lectures and training sessions in industrial standardization and measurement standards in Japan.

Short-term dispatch of experts by the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO)

The JETRO dispatches experts for establishing systems for local industries in ASEAN countries.
