JNLA (Japan National Laboratory Accreditation System) was established in 1997 in accordance with the Japanese Industrial Standardization Law.
However, the administration of JNLA has been was transferred to National Institute of Technology & Evaluation of Independent Administrative Institution (NITE) from Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) reflecting the Revised Japanese Industrial Standardization Law.
